Spotted: Luis Sinisterra drives out of Thorp Arch, tells Leeds United fans his situation amid transfer talk

Luis Sinisterra has told Leeds United supporters that he won’t be leaving before the 11pm deadline tonight, according to LUFCFanZone.

Writing on their official Twitter account (1 September), the fan account which Andrea Radrizzani confirmed has sources within the club, report that the Colombian winger told fans after training he would be staying at the club.

Sinisterra was known to want to leave to play at a higher level but with the transfer deadline edging closer, the 24-year-old will be staying at Elland Road until January at least unless something drastic happens.

“Luis Sinisterra leaving training at Thorp Arch 10 minutes ago – says he is not leaving,” they wrote.

It’s been a rocky road this summer with our attacking options, but Leeds have always been adamant that deals in their control would only ever be done on their terms.

With several deals there were clauses involved that meant the club didn’t have much choice, but as soon as Sinisterra’s exit clause expired the club were clear that they were in control.

The player wanted to leave to play at a higher level but once the clause expired and the interest in him dwindled, Leeds set their terms are were adamant that he wouldn’t leave unless those terms were met.

Daniel Farke was delighted with him and brought him back into the fold immediately once the issue was settled, and he scored on his comeback against Ipswich last week.

He now looks set to stay until January at the earliest, in what will come as a huge boost to fans who don’t know what to believe as the deadline emerges.
