Leeds United transfer news as Jack Harrison exit update drops with Aston Villa ready
Leeds United are preparing for the exit of Jack Harrison from the club this summer after their relegation was confirmed, according to talkSPORT.
The winger was one of just two attacking players named in the starting lineup against Tottenham by Sam Allardyce and scored the club’s only goal of the day in the 4-1 loss that saw their relegation to the Championship confirmed on Sunday (28 May).
But despite signing a new contract as recently as April, the former New York City FC ace is now set to leave the club with both Aston Villa and West Ham named as interested parties.

“Leeds United are preparing for the departure of Jack Harrison after their relegation from the Premier League,” they wrote on their official Twitter account.
“West Ham and Aston Villa are among the clubs interested in signing him.”
Expected
This will be the first of many stories that we hear about over the coming days and weeks about our best players wanting to leave the club after relegation.
After dropping down to the Championship it can hardly be unexpected, but fans would have been hoping for a bit more loyalty from the players who got us in this mess to begin with.

As for Harrison though, he gave everything. He was left out of the team and then almost sold to Leicester in January before being called back and having to find his mojo again and perform.
He did that and was one of the more impressive players in the final games and while he couldn’t stop us from going down, his commitment clearly cannot be doubted.
We’ll wish him the best wherever he goes because he’s obviously a Premier League level player and shouldn’t be playing in the second division, but we have to ensure we make as much money from the sale as possible to be able to replace him.
