Xabi Alonso has already told Leeds how Mykhailo Mudryk will transform Elland Road tactics
Xabi Alonso could see Mykhailo Mudryk get back up to speed at Leeds United after temporarily leaving Chelsea.
The Ukraine international has only recently returned to action after serving a 20-month ban and is now being linked with a move to the Whites.
At the moment, the Blues are looking to send the 25-year-old winger out on loan to get regular minutes and find his feet.
Elland Road has emerged as a concrete transfer option for Mudryk and Daniel Farke could soon have the exciting attacker at his disposal.
Chelsea agreed an £88.5million package with Shakhtar Donetsk for the forward in January 2023.
The winger showed immense potential before his move to Stamford Bridge and he could now bring those qualities to West Yorkshire.
What Mykhailo Mudryk will bring to Leeds United
Leeds are pushing to sign Mudryk despite Chelsea rejecting their initial loan proposal.
The Ukrainian ace wants to stay in the Premier League and Elland Road may be his next stop.
There's no doubt the winger possesses plenty of attacking strengths that Farke could make use of at the Whites.
Mudryk's strongest asset seems to be his ability to take on defenders in one-on-one situations - something that could potentially transform the West Yorkshire outfit's tactics.
Speaking to the media after the forward's ban was lifted, Alonso said: "I remember watching him at Shakhtar [Donetsk], the impact he had and how good he is.
"He was very good in one-v-one situations and could create a lot of situations on his own. He's a special player."
How Daniel Farke could use Mykhailo Mudryk at Elland Road
If Leeds do end up signing Mudryk on loan from Chelsea, it will be under the condition of giving him regular Premier League minutes.
The London club certainly wouldn't want to see their player remain on the bench if he moved to the Whites.
On the left-wing, Noah Okafor was Farke's preferred option last season, but Brenden Aaronson played there in the opening game of the new campaign against Nottingham Forest.
While the West Yorkshire outfit have brought Harry Wilson in this summer, they certainly lack adequate pace up top.
Mudryk's arrival would open the doors for Farke's team to be more deadly on the counters.
The Peacocks will be able to afford to sit deep on occasion and then release the Ukraine international on their left-wing to relieve pressure.
With a back five, it's difficult for Leeds to dominate possession and be fully creative, but Mudryk's arrival could give the German manager some much-needed quality to adapt his system in LS11.
