Leeds United look ready to do business with Torino for the sale of goalkeeper Lucas Perri.

The Whites appear set to bolster their goalkeeping ranks with the arrival of James Trafford from Manchester City.

The goalkeeping department was looking like a bit of a headache for manager Daniel Farke during the summer transfer window.

Karl Darlow opted to reject the chance to stay at Elland Road in favour of a move to rivals Manchester United.

Illan Meslier's departure was no surprise, and he has rocked up at Arsenal, which meant Perri and emergency back-up Alex Cairns were the only remaining options.

Perri had an error-strewn debut campaign at Leeds last term, but a solution for all parties looks like it could now happen.

MOT Leeds News has covered reports of Leeds being in talks with Man City for the transfer of Trafford.

The need for a new goalkeeper has well been well-documented, especially given how much Perri struggled last season.

Reports have suggested that the total fee to bring Trafford to West Yorkshire could reach £50million, though it is unclear how much of that fee would be up front.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now provided an update on Perri's future on his personal website.

Di Marzio states that Perri is now closing on a move to Serie A outfit Torino, with Leeds ready to sign-off now the issue of needing replacement has been solved.

It is unlikely the deal will be sanctioned until Trafford is in the door, but both moves look a lot closer to happening now.

What is next for Leeds United after James Trafford?

Leeds are having an extremely ambitious transfer window so far.

Harry Wilson's arrival on a free transfer looks a real shrewd piece of business, while the £34million spend to sign Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo looks like it could be an excellent signing.

Trafford is tipped by many as Jordan Pickford's long-term successor as England number one, and he would solve what has been a problem for some time in the goalkeeping department.

After Trafford, Leeds are still hopeful of concluding the transfer of Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, though that is becoming a bit of a saga.

They are also still pushing to sign free agent Julian Brandt after he departed Borussia Dortmund.

Another forward and more cover at left-back have also been mooted as areas Farke wants to improve in the remainder of the window.
