Lucas Perri's move from Leeds United to Torino has been in the pipeline for some time.

There have been many obstacles preventing the move from being completed just yet, but things are moving forward.

The Brazilian shot-stopper is looking for guaranteed minutes, and after Leeds purchased James Trafford, he was not going to get that at Elland Road.

Serie A side Torino have offered him that chance and his move looks set to be finalised this week.

That is amid reports emerging out of Italy as news of when his medical will take place is circulating.

As well as when Perri is expected to join up with his new teammates in Turin.

When is Lucas Perri's medical with Torino now?

Perri's medical had been pencilled in for Monday, 8 August but it appears that did not go ahead as originally planned.

The goalkeeper has been recovering from a quad injury, which could be behind the reason for the delay.

Now, it looks like a move could finally be sealed this week with a rescheduled date of Thursday, 13 August emerging for those tests.

That is according to Sportsmediaset journalist Orazio Accomando, who stated on X: "Perri will be in Turin on Thursday. Then he will undergo his medical and sign with Torino."

Following the tests, it won't be too long until he officially becomes a Torino player.

As outlet Torino Granata shares that would see allow him to participate in his first training session on Friday.

Torino also has a game on Saturday against Carrarese Calcio 1908 in the Coppa Italia.

Perri will not play for the Serie A side but is said to be presented to supporters in the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium.

Why Leeds must move quickly for back-up goalkeeper

Trafford will unequivocally be Leeds' number one this season but once Perri departs, the Whites will be running the risk with the Englishman.

Should he get injured or suspended, Daniel Farke will only have Alex Cairns to turn to, unless he calls upon an inexperienced youngster.

There is less than two weeks until the campaign starts for the LS11 oufit.

Options for the Whites have been coming out, with San Lorenzo's Orlando Gill reportedly sounded out.

Gill has a release clause which could make a move easy to agree, with personal terms all that is needed.

Overall, there should and must be plenty of movements within the Whites' goalkeeper department once again as the season begins to draw closer.
