The Welshman has penned terms with the Whites with just the official announcement pending.
Wilson would represent Leeds' first signing of the summer, although work is still underway to bring Shea Charles to Elland Road.

He states: "It's over the line. It's basically just media duties and announcement now. Which happens this week."
So, if all goes well, images of the Welshman in the Leeds United kit should start circulating sometime this week.
And the Elland Road faithful will hear from the winger himself over his decision to choose Leeds as his next destination.
The Whites are expected to return for their pre-season preparations, so Wilson should mostly all of that under his belt heading into the next campaign.
What could be Leeds' next move as Wilson deal nears completion?
As stated previously, Charles is still firmly on the Whites' radar as they eye squad improvements.
However, Southampton have rejected all of Leeds' proposals with no breakthrough found.
In other areas of the squad, a move for Zion Suzuki appears to be most advanced as the goalkeeping position still looks uncertain.
Juventus have dropped out of the Suzuki race as they cannot afford a deal.
Meanwhile, Karl Darlow has yet to make his mind up over his future.
Darlow has three contract offers on the table - from Leeds, Everton and Manchester United.
