What latest Thorp Arch images tell us as exit-linked Leeds United trio clearly not wanted

Published on

Leeds United's players are back on the grass at Thorp Arch, but not every squad member has been present.

Daniel Farke's men returned for pre-season testing and various drills last week.

It is now the part players much prefer as they are put through their paces on the grass ahead of the return of fixtures.

Before Leeds jet off to the United States, the team will first get a couple of sessions under their belts at Thorp Arch.

The Whites shared images from the sessions so far on their official website on Tuesday.

But it was those not present that raised the most questions.

Jack Harrison among those absent from Leeds training

MOT Leeds News exclusively reported on 11 July that Jack Harrison was in advanced talks with New England Revolution.

However, discussions are still ongoing over how much of Harrison's wages New England will pay for the loan deal.

Either way, it is clear the 29-year-old is not wanted by Farke at Elland Road.

Farke may have hailed Harrison's professionalism upon his return to West Yorkshire last year, but the winger failed to repay that faith on the field.

Harrison is not the only exit-linked Leeds player to have been absent from training at Thorp Arch.

Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt were also nowhere to be seen in the training images.

What else did we learn from Leeds training photos?

Pre-season is a good chance for managers to take a closer look at up-and-coming talent.

That is no different to Farke, with Rhys Chadwick among the youngsters seen getting stuck in.

Jayden Lienou is another, with the defender potentially adding to the Wales contingent in the senior squad this coming campaign.

New signing Harry Wilson was also pictured smiling, but Tarik Muharemovic is not yet ready to get involved after his World Cup participation with Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Leeds' first summer friendly is against Wrexham at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida in the early hours of Sunday morning.
