Leeds United are preparing to jet out to the United States of America as they continue their pre-season.

It's been a busy summer for many with the World Cup, meaning transfers have taken somewhat of a back step up until now.

Despite that, Daniel Farke will be delighted with his business so far.

Harry Wilson kicked things off at Elland Road, and will already go down as the bargain of the summer, signing as a free agent.

Then followed Tarik Muharemovic, with Leeds making him their second-most expensive signing in history at £34million.

Pascal Struijk's exit kicked things off, but the Whites have been proactive since, and that will only continue in America.

How Leeds are preparing for transfers in USA

Last season, the Whites made the short trip to Germany and remained busy in their business.

Anton Stach and Lucas Perri signed during that time and joined up with the squad on that camp, and the same could happen this time around.

Despite being a seven-hour flight to Leeds' two bases in New York and Tampa, operations manager Matt Robertshaw confirmed plans are in place for transfers if needed.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, he said: "We're fully prepared, especially with us going away for two weeks and with the World Cup just finishing, that there could be signings during that period.

"So we're prepared both for medical and signing in the UK, and then direct to the team in New York, Tampa, or Chicago, and we're also fully prepared with medical facilities in the US."

Who could sign for Leeds in United States?

MOT Leeds News has extensively covered Leeds' pursuit of Southampton midfielder Shea Charles.

Despite two bids being rejected for the Northern Ireland international, that is still ongoing and could happen soon.

Farke is clearly a massive fan, and is determined to get that one over the line.

The next priority is clear a new goalkeeper, but that one may rumble on until Leeds are back in England, it's that complicated.

James Trafford of Manchester City is the dream target, but he's only just returning from the World Cup and has his summer break.

Then there is the unknown of whether Enzo Maresca will even sanction a transfer, with Gianluigi Donnarumma still number one.

Leeds clearly want another midfielder and goalkeeper next, but then there is more cover needed at left and central defence, as well as another striker.

Then, there is the question of who will leave, and there are plenty of faces who will be left behind to sort out their futures while Leeds take on America again.
