Leeds United may need to move quick in order to wrap up a deal for Michael Zetterer.

The Whites are in the market for a new number two who would come in and deputise for James Trafford.

Lucas Perri is in Italy awaiting his move to Torino to go through, as he recovers from a minor injury.

His future is directly linked with the LS11 outfit's push for a new goalkeeper to add to their ranks.

In recent days, Zetterer has seemingly emerged as the preferred option by Elland Road officials.

And while there are some obstacles in the way of a move for the German shot-stopper, another has just appeared.

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter is not happy with any of his goalkeeper options.

The Bundesliga side are looking to sign Noah Atubolu to come in and take the up the number one role.

That is according to BILD, who also share that a problem at Frankfurt could arise in the futures of both Zetterer and Kaua Santos.

While the report shares that a "mid-single-digit million euro sum would suit" the German club, they do face an issue in trying to offload both of their goalkeepers.

Santos has been earmarked for a loan, with that said to be just as much of a solution as Zetterer's departure.

But, his performance in Frankfurt's 7-0 defeat to Brentford has "impacted" his value in the market.

And with Zetterer happy to stay at Frankfurt this season, it further intensifies their issues in trying to part ways with both.

How Leeds can convince Zetterer of Premier League move

Leeds have a strong continegent of German speaking players and that could be used as a way to help Zetterer and his family settle in to life in Yorkshire.

Anton Stach, Lukas Nmecha and of course Daniel Farke are at Elland Road, while Nico Elvedi has spent 11 years in the Bundesliga too.

Additionally, of course a strong contract offer could go a long way into making the 31-year-old change his mind.

Zetterer has a strong dressing room presence, so he would be offering the Whites a lot more than just his services in goal.

All in all, a lot more issues could pop up in Leeds' move for Zetterer and that is why it is imperative they try to wrap it up quickly.
