Lucas Perri had looked set to leave Leeds United for Torino, but Marseille could scupper that.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was to undergo his medical tests in Turin ahead of a move to the Serie A club.

It was a deal said to be on loan but did include an option to buy.

Perri is looking for more minutes ahead of the upcoming season, with James Trafford now positioned as Leeds' number one.

It seems Perri is certainly not short of suitors, with the move for Trafford creating a domino effect.

Man City have targeted Geronimo Rulli to replace the Englishman, with Marseille now wanting Perri to replace the Argentinian, despite Torino looking advanced with their move.

What is the latest on Lucas Perri's move to Torino?

Perri's move to Torino is in danger of collapsing amid a push from Marseille.

According to Thursday's print edition of Italian outlet La Stampa, the medical tests for Perri's move to Torino have now been delayed, with the goalkeeper now mulling over an offer from the French side..

The offer from the Ligue 1 side has left the South American "wavering" over his future.

However, despite the possible U-turn on his move to Turin, the Serie A side are said to still be feeling positive over securing the transfer.

Hopes are the transfer could still be secured either on Thursday or Friday.

But Leeds may look to agree a deal with Marseille rather than Torino. As according to journalist Ekrem Konur, who reports for The Sun, the French side are offering a permanent deal.

So, there could yet be many twists and turns left in this transfer, with Perri's future still unresolved.

How much could Leeds earn now for Perri?

Perri's exit to Torino always came with the caveat that it was not a guarantee they would use the option to buy.

If he did not perform well, he could ultimately end up back at Elland Road, and with a reduced value.

The idea of a permanent move now does seem attractive and Leeds should look to agree a similar fee to the buy-option with the Serie A club.

Perri's loan is said to include a £9.3million option to buy, and if Marseille match that, the Whites are well within their right to snub Torino in order to secure guaranteed payment.

Now, it is merely just a waiting game as we have already seen how things can quickly change.
