Extreme Lucas Perri next to leave Leeds United as final details begin
Lucas Perri looks set to be next in a very long list to leave Leeds United this summer.
Wednesday was very busy at Elland Road, with Nico Elvedi arriving as signing number four.
As well as that, Sebastiaan Bornauw kickstarted the day with his move to Hamburg in the Bundesliga.
Leeds weren't done there, though, with Joel Piroe officially joining West Ham on loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
And Perri may not be far behind.
It's no secret that the goalkeeper is leaving for Torino, but it's been a long, drawn out process for all parties.
What's the latest with Lucas Perri exit?
Just as Torino were about to strike, Marseille pounced with a late move for the Brazilian.
It forced the Italians to increase their option to buy in the loan, with Leeds possibly set to bank over £10million.
Now, Corriere Dello Sport reports in its print edition that the "extreme" goalkeeper is set to sign after taking weeks to iron out details.
The Italian newspaper states on 17 August that the bureaucratic process has begun to finalise the deal, with medical tests first.
Leeds moving smartly with their own signings
Of course, Daniel Farke already has his replacement at Elland Road.
Leeds smashed their transfer record to sign Manchester City's James Trafford, coughing up over £40million.
That is serious business, with Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and Elvedi taking the squad to new levels in LS11.
It leaves Alex Cairns as number two currently, though.
Leeds want another goalkeeper for depth, with more needed at left-back, up front and maybe out wide in the squad.
For now, Farke has completed his serious business, but the 49ers have plenty more to spend, thanks to their selling.
The Premier League is finally back on Saturday, as Leeds travel to Nottingham Forest with their new signings in place.
Perri won't be there, even if his exit isn't announced yet, but it finally looks as though his one year in West Yorkshire is coming to a close.
Hopefully, his exit is the end of the goalkeeper curse that has struck every one of us fans for decades now, it's been far too long.
