Lucas Perri is finally closing in on an exit from Leeds United.

It's been a summer full of drama for the Brazilian at Elland Road, but that's set to end very shortly.

Daniel Farke was forced to start the pre-season calendar with Perri as his number one, with exits everywhere.

Illan Meslier and Karl Darlow both left on the expiry of their contracts, joining Arsenal and Manchester United respectively.

That left Perri and Alex Cairns, until Leeds smashed their transfer record to sign James Trafford from Manchester City.

With that finally complete, Perri is now on his way out, too.

Where will Lucas Perri land?

It looked likely to be Torino in Italy, but then Marseille made a last-minute play to bring him back to France.

Leeds were happy either way, but the latter could have been a permanent exit, compared to an initial loan.

That has sprung Torino into action, though.

Valentin Feuillette of Foot Mercato has now reported that the Turin side have increased their offer.

It's said that Perri will still leave on loan initially, but their £9.4million permanent option will now be higher.

The goal now is to finalise most parts of the transfer on Sunday.

After that, Perri could then arrive in Italy and undergo his medical tomorrow, on 17 August.

What next for Leeds?

Trafford started and completed 90 minutes as the Whites smashed Augsburg 4-0 on Saturday at Elland Road.

For Farke and Leeds, it's simple; Trafford will play bascially every minute of this season when available, whether in the league or cup.

The England international left the Etihad due to a lack of opportunities, and he will get more than that at Elland Road.

Cairns is currently number two, but he will drop down to third-choice again before the end of this window.

That's because Leeds want another goalkeeper to play back-up, with a homegrown option usually signed by Premier League clubs in this position.

First, Perri will leave West Yorkshire after a far-from-ideal year in the Premier League.

And with Nottingham Forest only six days away to kickstart things, Leeds are looking better already with Trafford in place and ready to go.
