Leeds United's interest in Roony Bardghji could ramp up over the next week.

The Barcelona starlet looks almost certain to leave the Catalan-based club, particularly as a move for Karim Adeyemi inches closer.

Daniel Farke's side have been among the names touted as a potential destination, and at Elland Road, the Swede would have Gabriel Gudmundsson to help him settle.

The Whites have already signed Harry Wilson for the wide forward areas, but neither Wilfried Gnonto nor Dan James were trusted last season.

Bardghji could ultimately arrive as another option, and one that the German manager prefers to turn to.

And if the Barcelona man is on the agenda for the LS11 side, the result of their interest could be known quickly.

How could a deal for Roony Bardghji be structured?

Bardghji will likely be playing his football away from Barcelona next season, and Elland Road may be his landing destination.

According to Sport, they now claim that "next week will be crucial" as Bardghji returns to Barcelona.

Leeds have once again been credited by the Spanish outlet, with the Whites one of the number of Premier League side's that have "inquired."

They face competition from Sunderland, Brighton, Fulham, and Aston Villa.

Barcelona are open to a loan move but prefer for the player to leave on a permanent transfer this summer.

However, the La Liga champions would want to include a buy-back option. But, whether or not that is included in any deal is up to the Swedish international.

How Barcelona are pushing Bardghji out

Although remaining at Camp Nou is on the cards for Bardghji, Barcelona are seemingly pushing him aside ahead of next season.

Sport also share that Hansi Flick's current plans are for the Swedish forward not to participate in Barcelona's pre-season camp in England.

This begins on 28 July, where the German's side will train at St.George's Park until 3 August.

When Bardghji links back up with Flick for the start of pre-season before that camp, he will be told once more that seeking a new club is the best idea for everyone involved.

The La Liga side wants Bardghji's future to be resolved before they fly out to England so he can be given time to adapt to his new club and already begin playing friendlies.

But, if not, the Catalan side will not "rush" Bardghji into leaving the club, although that is their preferred outcome.

Can Leeds take advantage? They'll know very soon.
