James Trafford is finally on the verge of being announced as a Leeds United player.

Despite that happening last week, everything went quiet in LS11.

Leeds fans were starting to get worried, as Trafford enjoyed his holiday after the World Cup around the transfer.

Thankfully, those doubts were put to rest on Thursday as it was revealed that Trafford has completed his medical.

But, he's done much more than that, it seems.

What next for James Trafford at Leeds?

After a medical, it is just the legal formalities to complete.

Paperwork, contracts and media work is to be done, and it looks as though Trafford has done just that.

Joe Blackburn, a Leeds fan on X, has reshared footage among fans sent to him, showing what looks like Trafford on the Elland Road turf.

You can make out Trafford, and he is wearing the new goalkeeper kit, posing for photos with who you assume is family and friends.

That would suggest that a transfer announcement is all that is left, and Leeds should do just that shortly.

Leeds United fans in dreamland

You could have asked thousands of Leeds fans who their dream next goalkeeper would be, and the majority would have said Trafford.

Did anyone actually believe a move was possible, though? Probably not.

As a season-ticket holder of more than 15 years, I haven't been excited for many more signings than this one.

Trafford is England's next number one, he has senior experience of winning trophies with Man City, we haven't seen those types of signings for years.

Breaking the transfer record is another huge step, too, especially to fix an issue that we have seen in LS11 for what feels like decades.

Brief glimpses from Kasper Schmeichel, Rob Green and Illan Meslier soon came to an end, but this is different.

Trafford could stay at Elland Road for the next 10 years at the top of his game, and even if he doesn't, Leeds will rake in millions.

With the goalkeeper finally spotted at Elland Road, expect this one to be announced soon, maybe even in the next 24 hours.
