Leeds United fans are left twiddling their thumbs as confirmation of Tarik Muharemovic's arrival drags on.

It was reported on Thursday that the Bosnia-Herzegovina international would arrive in the United Kingdom ahead of undergoing a medical.

Leeds are expected to pay around £34million for Muharemovic, making him the West Yorkshire club's second-most expensive signing ever.

Radio silence followed after the development on Thursday, but a new update has now emerged that suggests everything remains on track.

And it now seems imminent that an announcement could be made at Elland Road.

Tarik Muharemovic medical update emerges as Leeds deal nears

Muharemovic is indeed in the United Kingdom, but some medicals can seemingly drag out for longer than others.

As per Sky Sports' live transfer blog on Friday morning, the 23-year-old is now undergoing the second part of his medical.

That is expected to be completed by the end of Friday, at which point everything will be in place for the announcement.

Muharemovic is effectively a like-for-like replacement for Pascal Struijk, who made a big-money switch to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Assuming there are no unexpected hitches, Muharemovic will follow Harry Wilson in becoming Leeds' second summer signing.

Daniel Farke will no doubt want plenty more, while fans are certainly calling for more deals to be done.

This time last year, give or take a couple of days, Leeds had made five senior additions.

However, it must be noted that the Whites were always going to need to act quickly last summer on the back of promotion.

This summer is all about adding to what Farke has, and the arrivals of Wilson and Muharemovic leave Leeds in a stronger position.

Struijk may have gone, but Muharemovic can easily be an upgrade with time.

Once this second deal is done, fingers crossed signing number three is then not too far behind.
