Roony Bardghji may wait for transfer as request made after Leeds United latest
Leeds United have been continuously linked with a move for Barcelona attacker Roony Bardghji.
Daniel Farke has made it clear he wants to strengthen his squad, and the 49ers have responded this week.
Leeds have agreed a deal with Harry Wilson over a long-term contract once his deal expires at Fulham next week.
With interest also in Julian Brandt and Southampton's Shea Charles, they aren't stopping there at Elland Road.
That is where Bardghji comes into play.
With Wilson basically signed and Brandt wanted, though, focus may be elsewhere in LS11 than more in the final third right now.
Roony Bardghji requests to leave now
Bardghji, a young Swedish winger, emerged as one of Europe's brighest talents to secure a move to the Nou Camp.
It hasn't played out quite as well as many thought, and he looks set to leave the Catalan giants already.
Bardghji has requested more playing time, and Barcelona could even sell him permanently with a future buy-back clause.
That's according to Sport, who reports that Leeds are one option from the main interest of the Premier League.
Leeds are a main option, but it appears that Brighton are now at the front of the queue.
The Seagulls could sell Yankuba Minteh, and Bardghji may be the perfect replacement, with the Whites on the backfoot.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes perfect sale pitch for Leeds
When you think of Swedish football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is at the very top of the list.
Ibrahimovic and Gabriel Gudmundsson, if you ask Leeds fans.
Incidentally, the famous striker loves Bardghji and was very vocal when his move to Barcelona was confirmed.
"To wear the Barcelona shirt requires personality, and Roony has it in abundance," he said. "He is fearless. He plays without fear, and that's something you can't teach. Sweden has another special talent."
That fearless nature is a key component of all young talents in modern football, just look at the likes of Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal.
They are now at the very top, and it was their 'no-care' attitude that helped them reach those heights.
Do Leeds need another winger though?
Wilson will join the likes of Noah Okafor, Willy Gnonto and Dan James, although the latter two could leave.
Farke also didn't play two wingers every single week, so there are other holes to plug in his squad first.
With a decision waiting to be made, it appears that Brighton will be making their move first to win any race.
