Conrad Harder has not started for RB Leipzig today as Leeds United eye a move.

As the transfer window continues to rumble on, teams may be looking to protect their valuable assets ahead of any possible deals.

And one such player of that ilk is Danish international Harder.

The opening weekend of the Bundesliga is underway, and Harder's omission will only increase the intrigue surrounding his future.

Especially with Leeds United keeping tabs on the current climate around the striker.

The type of deal Leeds can now agree for Conrad Harder

The transfer deadline ends on 1 September at 11 PM, leaving Leeds just a couple of days to get their final deals over the line.

A back up option to Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been eyed this summer, and Harder could be that option.

Harder has travelled with Leipzig's squad but is on the bench instead and not the starting lineup.

And according to journalist Phillipe Hinze, that is amid interest from Sevilla, Lazio, Galatasaray as well as Leeds United.

The Whites continue to monitor the situation at the Bundesliga side , with the possibility of striking a loan deal with an option to buy now being mooted.

With Joel Piroe's departure to West Ham, the LS11 outfit are light in that department.

Now, it will be a wait and see if the Elland Road officials make a move for Harder. It is one to watch right up until the final day of the summer window.

Does Harder fit Leeds' profile requirements?

Leeds are looking on the younger end of the striker market this summer, as they look for a deputy to Calvert-Lewin.

At 21 years old, Harder would certainly fit that profile, likely learning plenty alongside the Englishman should he make the transfer.

However, Sevilla are pushing to sign Harder ahead of Leeds, so the Premier League side will need to kick into gear to try steal a charge for the Danish forward.
