Marc Guiu instantly reacts as Leeds confirm first winter signing
Leeds United have finally made their first signing of the January transfer window.
Daniel Farke was pushing for reinforcements at Elland Road, and the 49ers Enterprises group have obliged.
The German will hope that it is the first of many additions, as he seeks to keep his side in the Premier League.
Leeds are currently eight points clear of relegation danger, but they could be dragged back in, if they don’t refresh their squad.
Leeds finally get a January signing over the line
Leeds have confirmed the signing of Facundo Buonanotte, just hours after the initial loan agreement was reported.
The Whites took to Instagram on 15 January to announce their new man, saying: “Welcome, Facundo!”
Chelsea star Marc Guiu was the first to react, liking the post from his former Blues teammate shortly after it was put up.

The Whites may not be done with Buonanotte, as Farke is also in the market for several positions to strengthen his team.
A move for Sevilla attacker Ruben Vargas seems unlikely, as he has been ruled out for five to seven weeks with a muscle injury.
They may return for Harry Wilson, and a bid may tempt the Cottagers to sell, as he is out of contract in the summer.
Porto’s Danny Namaso is another target, but Auxerre have the right to purchase 60 per cent of his rights if they get promoted to Ligue 1, so that potential deal is complicated.
Meanwhile, in defence, Mark McKenzie is one name to be linked with the Peacocks, with Union Berlin’s Danilho Doekhi, who is out of contract in the summer, also being a reported target.
Joe Willock and Martin Baturina have been mentioned as potential additions in midfield, with the LS11 outfit looking to add more class to their engine room, which already includes the likes of Ao Tanaka, Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach.
It should be an exciting final few weeks of the window for supporters in Yorkshire, as the Whites seek to bolster their squad and establish themselves as a true top-flight outfit.
