Manor Solomon makes summer intentions clear as Leeds United admission made
Manor Solomon has made it clear that he wants to return to the Premier League this summer, having seen a move to Leeds United collapse last season.
The winger was a fan favourite at Elland Road, and had it not been for his contributions, promotion may never have happened.
Solomon registered 10 goals and 13 assists for the Leeds during his loan spell, with all but one of them being in the Championship.
Leeds made an attempt to bring him back to Elland Road last summer, but failed, with the winger then joining Villarreal and then Fiorentina.
A return to Tottenham seems to be on the cards as of right now, though his stay there is likely to be short.
But as for his next move, he is hoping that it may still be in the Premier League.
What did Manor Solomon say about Leeds?
It's mentioned above how the 26-year-old was a fan favourite at Leeds, and the feeling was mutual.
Solomon has shared his love for the Whites and his time with them on several occasions, and has done so again in a recent interview.
Speaking to Sport5 earlier this week, he said: “I really connected with Leeds; it’s a club that will always be in my heart. Especially the fans, they’re amazing.
"When I stepped onto the field for my first game and heard the Leeds fans, I told myself, ‘I’ve come to the right place.’ At the end of the season, I wanted to be at Tottenham or Leeds. The club presidents were talking about me, and the price was high.
"I have unfinished business with the Premier League. But if I don’t end up there, that’s fine."
Would Solomon still be a good addition for Leeds?
Much of that will come down to what Daniel Farke has in mind in regard to his plans for the upcoming campaign.
With the seemingly pending arrival of Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham, it looks as though Leeds may be reverting to a formation that utilises wingers .
On the left they have Noah Okafor, and potentially Largie Ramazani depending on what the future has in store for him.
Depending on the finances and the future of Ramazani, a move for Solomon would make some sense, albeit only as a backup option.
He knows the club, the league, the manager and the players that he would have to connect with, though whether he would be willing to return for a role as a squad player remains to be seeen.
