Leeds United spend could go past £50m as Oumar Solet transfer possibly next
Leeds United are working hard to add defenders to their squad, with big money on the table.
Daniel Farke is working hard to replace Pascal Struijk, who has already joined Brighton for £20million.
Leeds are set to sign Tarik Muharemovic as a direct replacement from Sassuolo, but they may not be done there.
That's where Oumar Solet refuses to go away.
Currently with Udinese in Serie A, the Frenchman could follow Muharemovic from Italy to LS11.
Paraag Marathe promised extended backing this summer, and Leeds' outlay could soon pass £50m already.
How much have Leeds spent already?
With the impending arrival of Muharemovic, it's set to skyrocket.
MOT Leeds News has covered that Leeds will pay up to £34m to sign Muharemovic, with his medical underway.
Despite that, interest refuses to go away with Solet.
TuttoMercatoWeb has now reported that Leeds "strongly" favour Solet as their next possible addition.
It's said that a move could happen, regardless of the impending signing of Muharemovic.
With Harry Wilson arriving on a free, the possible £21.2m spend on Solet would take Leeds beyond £50m.
Who else could Leeds United sign?
Muharemovic and Wilson tick off two huge priorities for the Whites already this summer.
It was no secret that Farke wanted the Welshman, who has the profile of a wide man who can play in the 10 as well.
Muharemovic directly replaces Struijk, but another defender, like Solet, is smart.
Given the change in formation, Leeds only had four central options to fill three spots, with James Justin forced into there last season.
Solet could add depth and release Justin to cover both Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson.
With that said, another full-back, as well as a goalkeeper could complete the defensive ranks.
Leeds have had two bids rejected for Shea Charles too, with the Southampton midfielder able to drop into defence, as versatility becomes a key trait in signings.
To top off the window, another striker could be the icing on the cake, with the 49ers set to go past £100m yet again.
Either way, there could be several signings coming very soon in LS11.
