Tarik Muharemovic is set to become the second signing of the summer at Leeds United.

It's big money for the Whites, but Daniel Farke looks to have found his replacement for Pascal Struijk.

Leeds banked pure profit from Struijk's £20m sale, meaning they could push the boat out more with his alternative.

Muharemovic comes off the back of a World Cup with Bosnia and Herzegovina, making it a huge summer for him.

Having beaten severe competition, Leeds are pushing to get this transfer done immediately.

Where is Tarik Muharemovic?

It looks as though the Sassuolo defender could have flown across to West Yorkshire already.

SassuoloNews has reported that Muharemovic has made his way to England, with his medical underway.

It's said that a transfer announcement is expected in the "next few hours".

With that, Muharemovic is also set to sign his Elland Road contract alongside his medical.

Leeds are now back at Thorp Arch for pre-season, having started their testing at Beckett University on Monday.

Why this is perfect timing for Leeds United

Having just returned for pre-season, this is brilliant.

Muharemovic could sign in the next 24 to 48 hours, and slot straight into the plans of Farke, with his fitness high from the World Cup.

With a trip to the United States next week, the Bosnian powerhouse could return to where the World Cup was held.

Ironically, Muharemovic was actually born in Slovenia, giving him an immediate link to fellow defender, Jaka Bijol.

That should help him not only settle in, but hopefully build a formidable partnership at the back with Bijol.

Being left-footed, Muharemovic gives Farke the chance to stick with his five-at-the-back formation.

Another option is still likely needed in defence though, but he is also comfortable playing in a four if needed.

Leeds are two signings down, but given their net spend will stay below £20m, there's plenty more to come from the 49ers.

The incredible free signing of Harry Wilson is opening up so many doors for Leeds, they simply have to take advantage with a hefty spend.
