Largie Ramazani sends final message to Leeds United as nightmare finally ends
Largie Ramazani has finally ended his nightmare spell at Leeds United.
The Belgian winger signed from Almeria in Daniel Farke's second season, helping the Whites back to the Premier League.
It was a strange year, with Ramazani starting sensationally at Elland Road.
Injury hit just before Christmas, and things were never the same for the electric winger in LS11.
Farke questioned his attitude in training and games, and it led to a bit-part role towards the end of that successful year.
After his first season, he was never seen again.
Largie Ramazani reacts to Leeds United exit
Premier League clubs saw their deadline close on Tuesday for transfers, and it was a very busy end for most.
Ramazani has now joined Burnley after his spell at Valencia last season, with this loan containing an obligation to buy on appearances.
Leeds could earn up to £8.5million in total from Ramazani, with the clause expected to be triggered.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday after making his debut at Turf Moor, it was a short but sweet message to Leeds.
"Thank you Leeds United for all the unforgettable memories we shared together," he wrote.
"Wishing the club nothing but the best."
How did Ramazani perform in Burnley debut?
Despite signing only 24 hours previous, the winger was thrown straight into the deep end.
Starting on the bench against promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough, he came on at half-time.
One down at the time, Burnley would rescue a point in a 1-1 draw.
He delivered some glimpses of his skill and flair on the ball, playing more centrally to get in possession and make things happen.
Ramazani will be keen to prove himself in England again and try to rediscover his early form at Leeds.
On top of that, players always want to prove managers wrong when they have a certain opinion on them, and release that to the public.
Interestingly, only Leeds as a club are mentioned, nothing to do with Farke, which probably sums up the relationship between those two after three years.
Leeds are in a different realm now, with Harry Wilson, Noah Okafor and Jean-Matteo Bahoya set to take them forward.
Unfortunately, Ramazani doesn't fit into those plans.
