Largie Ramazani could pull off Leeds U-turn after Harry Wilson transfer
Largie Ramazani's time at Leeds United may not yet be over with the arrival of Harry Wilson.
The Welsh international is in advanced talks to move to Elland Road on a free transfer.
Wilson was subject to an approach from Leeds last summer, but the plug was pulled on the deal at the last minute.
However, his addition to Daniel Farke's squad hints at a slight change of system, and one where Ramazani could see a route back into his plans.
The Belgium winger is returning from his loan at Valencia, where it had looked for quite some time he would remain. Many may have forgotten he was still a Leeds player.
Nonetheless, Valencia is not currently pursuing keeping him in Spain, leaving a decision for Leeds to make.
Could Daniel Farke be eyeing to use wingers at Leeds United again?
In 2025-2026, Farke moved away from using natural wingers and instead provided the width through wingbacks and wide number 10s.
For players like Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James, it left them with fewer opportunities for minutes.
Upon his Thorp Arch return, Ramazani would likely be thinking he would follow suit if he remained in Yorkshire next season.
However, with the arrival of Wilson, the return of those wide forwards could now be on the horizon.
Although the outgoing Fulham ace can play as an attacking midfielder, he spent the vast majority of his time on the wing for the Cottagers, where he scored 10 goals and assisted seven in the Premier League.
It is by far his best position and shoehorning the 29-year-old into an unfamiliar role makes little sense.
Ramazani is well-revered at Leeds, with Leeds Live stating: "Leeds chiefs did not insert a buy-out clause in his loan to Valencia as they saw a future for him at the club - but that was when Leeds played with wingers."
While it looked like Ramazani would depart, if wingers are returning to Farke's system, there could be a U-turn over his future, and he remains at Elland Road.
What is the latest on Wilfried Gnonto's future?
Of course, the return of wingers would open the door for Gnonto to have a much bigger impact for Leeds next season.
However, the Italian has already been subject to interest.
Leeds Live have shared that Freiburg enquired about the possibility of signing the 22-year-old.
So, Gnonto will certainly not be short of options, but like Ramazani, his decision over his future will likely rely on what formation Farke opts to use.
Ramazani and Gnonto would not be terrible options to keep around when it comes to those wide positions, if Farke is switching things up.
