Manchester City have put plans in place after agreeing terms with Leeds United for James Trafford.

The Citizens will have accepted a £45million package deal for the England international's sale.

Daniel Farke clearly needed a new number one at the Whites and they are working on officially announcing the 23-year-old shot-stopper's arrival.

Enzo Maresca is set to be without Trafford at Man City for next season, with a move to Elland Road on the cards.

Gianluigi Donnarumma was the number one at Etihad Stadium in the previous campaign and will surely remain the first-choice in between the sticks.

Marcus Bettinelli has committed his future at the Citizens for another year, but they're in search of reinforcements.

Man City make offer after James Trafford and Leeds United transfer development

MOT Leeds News have covered reports that Trafford is going to sign a 130,000-per-week contract at Elland Road.

The Whites are yet to finalise the goalkeeper's arrival, which may be down to Man City's search for reinforcements.

According to the print edition of the Daily Mail on 31 July, the Citizens want another shot-stopper to replace Leeds-bound Trafford.

As such, Man City have offered Olympique Marseille's Geronimo Rulli a two-year deal.

The 34-year-old Argentina international moved to Etihad Stadium in 2016 but never made a senior appearance for them.

Apart from signing a new goalkeeper, the Citizens are also working on a deal for LOSC Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi and have already agreed personal terms with the 18-year-old Morocco international.

How James Trafford is set for baptism of fire at Leeds as Daniel Farke has little choice

Why Daniel Farke isn't done yet with Elland Road goalkeeper signing

Trafford will likely be the number one at Leeds, considering the financial commitment they're about to make.

The former Burnley ace has shown a lot of potential and certainly has more room to develop with regular Premier League opportunities.

With Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier leaving Elland Road at the end of last season, Farke clearly needed goalkeeping reinforcements.

Alex Cairns started in goal for the West Yorkshire outfit in their pre-season friendly against Sunderland.

The German manager should be looking at bringing another shot-stopper to LS11 after Trafford, but it remains to be seen who that could be.
