Harry Wilson appears to be closing in on a sensational move to Leeds United.

The Welsh winger was close to a move to Elland Road last summer, but a deadline day switch collapsed at the last moment.

What followed was a career-best season for Wilson in the Premier League, only making a deal that much harder for the Whites.

With his contract at Fulham set to expire at the end of June, Premier League interest only continues to grow.

But, it appears that Leeds have one foot ahead of the rest.

Leeds are pushing to sign Shea Charles and Julian Brandt, too, but Wilson could be first through the door.

Leeds try for final Harry Wilson agreement

Daniel Farke and the Whites have made their admiration no secret.

The Athletic has now reported that Wilson is in positive talks over a move to LS11, which could be confirmed soon.

It is said that Leeds and Wilson's representatives are now trying to find a final agreement that will get it sorted.

Of course, Premier League interest is fierce, but it looks as though the 49ers have worked their magic.

Where does Harry Wilson fit in at Elland Road?

This is a perfect signing for Leeds, if it comes off.

Farke worked wonders with a switch to five-at-the-back, with Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka and Anton Stach holding down the midfield.

In more open games, that switch to three attackers, with two inverted wingers behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

One of those was Noah Okafor, but Brenden Aaronson often left fans disappointed, leaving his spot on the right wide open.

That would suit Wilson perfectly.

The ability to play wide on the right, but also have the license to roam centrally and dictate the game is all he needs.

Leeds also have the secret weapon of four Wales internationals in their squad, and that will no doubt sway Wilson's thinking.

With a long-term contract more likely and Leeds looking to rise quickly, this could be a match made in heaven.

There are no excuses now, it's time to get this one done.
