Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri could soon leave Elland Road in a mode of crisis.

Daniel Farke's side have seen Illan Meslier depart on a free transfer to Arsenal, and Karl Darlow is set to follow.

The 35-year-old is expected to link up with Manchester United, seemingly rejecting a contract offer from the Whites.

He did not enjoy the finest of campaigns, being dropped after 16 games between the sticks.

An update has now been provided on Perri, who simply can't be allowed to leave, regardless of interest.

Have Torino made contact over Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri?

Torino are still looking for a new experienced goalkeeper, despite signing Diego Mascardi.

He is viewed as an option for the future, so the seven-time Italian champions also want Perri too.

Sky Sports' Zinny Boswell has reported on Thursday that the Turin-based side want a loan move for the Brazilian.

Boswell states that they have not yet made contact with the Elland Road club over a potential move, though.

Why Leeds can't allow Perri to leave

Leeds surely can't sanction an exit for Perri, as their goalkeeping ranks have already been decimated.

Cairns would be the only member left in the squad, should he accept a new contract as expected, unless they signed a new one, which is totally unacceptable.

They could sign two new goalkeepers and then let the Brazilian leave, but that also seems like a risk.

The Whites' reported targets are Zion Suzuki, Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and Konstantinos Tzolakis, but none of those options have played in England's top league.

The Whites have solid depth in every other area of the squad, but the goalkeeping position is a major concern for supporters.

If they let Perri walk away on loan after their £14million spend on him last summer, it would only make fears worse.

They need to bring someone in shortly, rather than letting another stopper depart, as pre-season is set to start in the coming days.

Perri may not have had the best start to his career in LS11, but an exit is not the right move at the moment, especially with the state of things.
