Where Leeds now stand in global power rankings as remarkable rise continues
Leeds United may have been held by Crystal Palace last time out, but the feel-good factor remains alive and well.
The Whites have started the Premier League season five games without defeat under Daniel Farke.
A 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on the opening day set the tone, with that followed by draws against Brentford and Brighton.
There was then a thumping 4-1 victory over Newcastle United, which Farke's men could not properly follow up as they were held 0-0 by Palace.
Still, five games into the campaign and United are fifth in the table, with fans dreaming of trips around Europe this time next year.
Leeds also continue to climb up Opta's global power rankings, with the Whites now very much among the elite.
Where do Leeds rank among world's best right now?
The Premier League is very much accepted to be the best league in the world.
Farke's side sitting fifth in the table is therefore rightly reflected by Opta in their latest standings.
Leeds were ranked the 19th best team in the world last week, with that a rise from 22nd a week before.
And the updated standings now have Leeds in 18th place as their remarkable rise continues.
Leeds are one place above Bournemouth and two spots above Serie A side Roma, while Benfica are the team directly above them.
Arsenal lead the way at the summit, followed by Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Where is supercomputer predicting Leeds to finish?
Fighting relegation is surely not on the agenda for Leeds this season.
Instead, staying among the chasing pack for a European spot has to be the aim.
It is so far, so good on that front - though that can all quickly change.
According to Opta's supercomputer, Leeds are on course to finish eighth in the Premier League.
That is unlikely to be a European spot, which spells bad news for Farke, even if eighth place would still be an impressive finish.
It is now over to the Leeds players to prove the prediction incorrect when club action resumes in a couple of weeks' time.
