Leeds United's impressive start to the Premier League season has been recognised.
The Whites are showing early signs that they can compete at the top end of the table, with those European places in sight already.
Performances since domestic football has returned have been excellent and that has seen the Elland Road side listed among the world's best.
The Premier League outfit's position in the global power rankings have shifted following their 4-1 win against Newcastle.
It remains to be seen if the Whites can sustain the levels they are currently showing, sitting third in the Premier League.
If they can, they could very well move further up the rankings, with this latest update putting them in an elite list.
Leeds are now ahead of some serious European heavyweights
Leeds supporters want nothing more than their team to be one of the best on the global stage.
And they are beginning to gain momentum towards being part of that select group of clubs.
Now, according to Opta's global power rankings, Leeds have entered the top 20 of the best football teams around the world.
Previously, the Whites were listed to be in 22nd position, but are now 19th.
Leeds' change of ranking is one of the biggest among the current top 25 as well, with Brighton (10th), Benfica (14th) and Nottingham Forest (23rd) all moving up by three.
The LS11 outfit are also above powerhouses such as Atletico Madrid (27th), Juventus (34th) and AC Milan (47th).
So, being among the top 20 football clubs in the world is undoubtedly an elite list to be a part of.
Leeds have given themselves a new benchmark to chase
With ambitions set to be high this season, the Whites have plenty to play for.
After beating Newcastle, Daniel Farke told his team that they need to "dream big" and to "think big."
Becoming one of the top 20 teams in the world is a good indicator of the fact that Dominic Calvert-Lewin and company are listening to him.
And the next step in those dreams will be to continue to pick up strong results, and perhaps make a push for the top 15.
In the Premier League, those big dreams will be to qualify for Europe, and while they may have missed a chance to do so in the Carabao Cup, there are other chances.
League position will be important, but the Whites could also look to go one better in the FA Cup.
They made the semi-finals last season, but were knocked out by Chelsea.
