Leeds United will face a team other than Nottingham Forest for the first time this season when they host Brentford on Sunday.

The Whites made a flying start to the season as Anton Stach's free-kick sealed a 1-0 win over Forest in the Premier League last Saturday.

Just three days later, the Whites returned to the City Ground for the second round of the Carabao Cup.

This time it was a 2-0 triumph for Leeds as Daniel James and James Justin were on target to book a spot in round three.

It leaves Daniel Farke with some welcome headaches as they welcome the Bees to Elland Road for their first home game of the campaign.

Nico Elvedi to miss out as Daniel Farke sticks with Leeds openers

Nico Elvedi made his Leeds debut in the cup clash with Forest after joining from Borussia Monchengladbach last week.

The Switzerland defender gave a really good account of himself on debut and will be chomping at the bit for more game time here.

However, Farke might decide that the defence that started the league game deserve to keep their spots, which would mean a return for Jaka Bijol.

Tarik Muharemovic and Joe Rodon have started both games, and you would expect both to retain their places here.

Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to come back in for Leeds

Sticking to his tried and trusted 3-4-3 formation, Farke will likely go back largely to what he had in the first game.

That means that Jayden Bogle could come back on in the right in place of Dan James, with James Justin moving over to the left-hand side.

In midfield, captain Ethan Ampadu will surely keep his place, but Stach will likely return in place of Ao Tanaka alongside him.

Harry Wilson started the opener and is set to return in place of Sean Longstaff here, but we are tipping Noah Okafor to keep his place ahead of Brenden Aaronson.

Up front, barring any late injury updates, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will most likely return ahead of Lukas Nmecha.
