Leeds United certainly won't stop after replacing Sebastiaan Bornauw with Nico Elvedi.

The Whites announced the Belgium international's departure to Hamburg on 19 August and immediately followed it with the former Borussia Monchengladbach star's arrival in LS11.

Daniel Farke has certainly been backed by 49ers Enterprises and Paraag Marathe this transfer window, but more work arguably needs to be done.

The Elland Road hierarchy will surely be in the market to further reinforce their squad as deadline day approaches.

While the West Yorkshire outfit have spent a significant sum to sign Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford, there are still holes in the squad that need filling.

Elvedi is a direct replacement for Bornauw and doesn't really do much to affect the depth of Farke's squad.

While the Whites have signed Trafford, they still arguably need a new number two this summer.

Lucas Perri looks set to join Torino, leaving the German manager with a lack of options in between the sticks.

Alex Cairns has done well during pre-season, but the West Yorkshire outfit certainly need better cover for Trafford ahead of next season.

Elland Road exits hint at another imminent addition

It looks like Leeds are preparing themselves to compete for a top-half finish in the Premier League and go on a long run in the cup competitions.

The Whites made it to the FA Cup semi-final last season and Farke now surely has more quality in the squad to do better.

What could potentially make the West Yorkshire outfit's squad even stronger is the arrival of a new quality centre-forward.

With the Peacocks parting ways with Joe Gelhardt and Joel Piroe, there's room for another number nine at Elland Road.

Another significant addition may be on the cards at LS11, this time to add competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha in the squad.

Farke will surely shoulder massive expectations ahead of next season after the amount of money the 49ers have spent in recent weeks.

If a reliable goalscorer becomes one of the next additions at Leeds, fans will undoubtedly be hoping for a fruitful campaign in West Yorkshire.
