Wilson missed the Palace game through injury, and Daniel Farke has already suggested the winger may be unavailable for Wales during the international break.

The West Yorkshire outfit signed the former Fulham star with high hopes, with many branding his free-transfer arrival a coup in LS11.

Wilson will look at his compatriot Daniel James and realise how difficult it can be to find his rhythm at Elland Road, especially with injuries, and certainly won't want to follow that example.

If the Welshman can't replicate his form at Elland Road, the LS11 hierarchy surely won't want to abandon their policy of signing players at a bargain price.

Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha both arrived for free in the summer of 2025 and have been brilliant additions to the squad.
