Wilfried Gnonto is expected to leave Leeds United for Fiorentina in the coming hours.

The Italian winger has been a target for La Viola over the last few months and a deal now looks to be in its final stages.

While Daniel Farke has hardly relied on the 22-year-old since last season, he's still one of the favourites in LS11.

Gnonto is set to travel to Italy to complete his move to Fiorentina from Elland Road.

Fiorentina could buy Gnonto next summer, with the potential loan deal including an option to buy.

According to Gazzetta Regionale journalist Lorenzo Canicchio on 31 August, the Italian youngster could fly to Pisa today.

While the deal is "effectively closed", the last details of the move are being ironed out before it's green-lit.

Once all the details are sorted, Gnonto will return to Italy after making his way through Inter Milan's youth ranks.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the forward's medical with La Viola has been scheduled for tomorrow.

What is now worth keeping eye on at Elland Road

Farke admitted after the 1-1 draw with Brentford that he was hoping for more incoming transfers at Leeds.

The Whites seem a bit short on options up front after Joel Piroe's exit, and Gnonto's move to Fiorentina will further reduce their attacking depth.

It wouldn't be surprising to see the West Yorkshire outfit pursue their own targets before the transfer window closes.
