Why Leeds United could land a star in Dario Osorio as hidden figures tell full story
Dario Osorio would be a quality addition for Leeds United.
Daniel Farke is keen to add to his ranks in the attacking positions, and the Chilean would fit the bill.
So far, the Whites have brought in Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford, but there is still work to be done.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Elland Road, after a solid season last time out with FC Midtjylland.
He notched 12 goal contributions last season in the Superligaen, but that does not tell the full story.
There is much more that makes a move to Elland Road appealing for all parties.
Why would Dario Osorio be a standout signing for Leeds?
The LS11 side were mentioned as a potential destination for Osorio by Chilean outfit Campo on Monday.
It states that the Danish club hope to receive more than £11.7million, with the likes of Farke's side, Liverpool and Arsenal interested in a deal.
He notched six goals and six assists in the 2025-26 season, which is a decent amount.
His hidden numbers jump off the page, as he averaged 3.35 shots and 1.58 chances created per 90 minutes, according to FotMob data.
He completed 2.93 successful dribbles and had 3.02 touches in the opposition box per game.
Defensively, he is willing to help out, as he averaged 3.58 defensive contributions and 5.58 recoveries per 90 minutes.
The numbers paint him in a very positive light, and he looks to be all-action winger, which could suit the Peacocks.
What would be an issue if Leeds signed Osorio?
He would bring goals and assists if he could adapt quickly to English football.
He is much more than, though - he is a spark, direct and dangerous that could elevate Farke's side to the next level.
The only issue may be the time that it would take him to get to grips with the pace and physicality of the English game.
If he struggled, he may not hit those numbers, and it may leave supporters frustrated that they did not enter the market for a more readymade option.
However, it is clear he is a very exciting talent, and it would likely be worth the wait while he gets used to the style of play and his new surroundings if Leeds could pull off a deal.
