Why Harry Wilson won't be Leeds' only statement signing this summer as two more names detailed
Leeds United have announced the signing of Harry Wilson on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old has been available since the end of last season after his contract at Fulham expired.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that he's now penned a four-year deal with the West Yorkshire club to become Daniel Farke's first signing of the summer transfer window.
However, Leeds' business is far from complete, especially after selling Pascal Struijk to Sheffield Wednesday and saying goodbye to back-up goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
Brighton paid £20million for Struijk, while Football Insider has reported that 49ers Enterprises are injecting £70m into the club to fund new signings, so there's plenty of money to play with on top of what was already budgeted.
Wilson is now through the door, but the recruitment drive is only gathering pace as Daniel Farke targets key areas ahead of the Premier League return.
Why Leeds' transfer business is far from over after Harry Wilson
Leeds survived the Premier League relegation battle last season rather comfortably but there were definitely some hairy moments for Farke and his squad.
As a result, the German manager will want to strengthen his squad immensely this summer.
His midfield options are definitely a concern, while a replacement for Struijk is also going to be top of the list and a new goalkeeper.
Leeds' next two reported targets are at very different stages, and one deal could prove considerably easier to complete than the other.
What Sky Sports' latest update means for Shea Charles and Julian Brandt
After the completion of Wilson's move to Elland Road on Wednesday, Sky Sports offered an update on what's next for the Whites.
According to the broadcaster, Leeds are "in ongoing pursuits" to sign midfielders Shea Charles and Julian Brandt.
While German attacking midfielder Brandt, 30, is a free agent after his contract at Borussia Dortmund ended last month, there's a whole host of clubs interested in signing him, including Roma, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis and Ajax.
Charles, however, should be a more achievable signing with the Northern Ireland international seemingly on his way out of Southampton.
It's been reported that Leeds have already had bids rejected by Southampton for the 22-year-old, but talks remain ongoing, suggesting that this deal is more than likely the next one we see signed off by Paraag Marathe.
