Tarik Muharemovic rumours at Leeds United clarified as transfer insider speaks out
Tarik Muharemovic seems to be attracting interest from top teams away from Leeds United.
The Whites signed the Bosnia and Herzegovina international from Sassuolo in the summer for £34million and he has exceeded expectations in LS11.
Daniel Farke has quickly made the 23-year-old a cornerstone of his backline.
After a strong start at Elland Road, Muharemovic is being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
It has been claimed that the Bundesliga giants are keeping an eye on the defender ahead of next summer.
If the centre-back continues to perform, plenty of teams will surely want to invest in him sooner rather than later.
How serious Bayern Munich are about Tarik Muharemovic
Recent reports have suggested that Muharemovic was a top target for Bayern, with a January approach on the cards.
The centre-back has started every Premier League game for the Whites, and his aggressive style of play has been infectious in LS11.
While the German club are aware of the defender and might have him on their shortlist, any potential approach has been dismissed.
Bayern insider Christian Falk has shared there's nothing concrete about the Bundesliga club's interest in Muharemovic.
Vincent Kompany's team aren't expected to make a move for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international anytime soon, and he will likely cost a lot given his contract runs until 2031.
"No, not true," Falk said when asked whether Muharemovic was a top target for Bayern.
Speaking on his YouTube channel on 15 October, the journalist added, "[Muharemovic] has a contract until 2031. He will be very expensive. Bayern won't go for him at the moment and they don't have any plans which are so far away, like 2027.
"They have a shortlist, of course. They know the player. But it's not so concrete that you can say this is a concrete topic for Bayern."
How Leeds United have set themselves up for transfer success at Elland Road
Paraag Marathe and 49ers Enterprises backed Farke in the summer with some quality additions.
Harry Wilson was signed as a free agent after his impressive form at Fulham, and while the Wales international hasn't delivered yet, it was certainly a financially sound investment.
Muharemovic has been worth every penny the Whites have spent on him and more, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them make a hefty profit.
While James Trafford didn't have the best game against Arsenal, he's been relatively good for the West Yorkshire outfit and can push them further up the table single-handedly.
The potential future England number one could also give the Peacocks a return on their investment in the coming years.
Leeds want to re-establish themselves in the Premier League and the recent transfer window can form the foundation for that.
