Report: Young Leeds midfielder set to cut ties with club despite signing two-year deal in summer

Guillermo Amor only signed a two-year contract with Leeds United in the summer but it seems as though he is already set to quit Elland Road.

The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that the 19-year-old midfielder, who signed for Leeds from Barcelona last year, is set to cut his ties with the Championship club and return to Spain.

It is understood that La Liga club Getafe are keen on signing him.

The Spanish midfielder barely made an impact in his time at Thorp Arch and it seems as though he is the latest Victor Orta addition who has failed in West Yorkshire.

Rafa Mujica is also set to leave Leeds.

The 21-year-old striker also joined from Barcelona in the summer but spend the first half of the season on loan at Spanish club Extremadura, where he made just eight appearances before having his loan spell terminated.

He has recently been seen wearing a Villarreal shirt on Instagram, but there is no official confirmation of what the future holds for him yet.

Amor and Mujica are two of many players that Orta has signed from abroad that have failed to do any good at Leeds.

One day, the Leeds director of football could find the gem that he is looking for but at the moment, it seems as though he is going for a scattergun approach rather than really seeking out that one player who could be a star.

In other Leeds United news, Leeds are ready to bid for this £12million-rated striker who has 19 international caps for a British nation.
