Leeds 21-year-old poses in shirt of club he is reportedly set to join

Rafa Mujica has all but confirmed that he is set to join Villarreal from Leeds United with his latest Instagram activity.

Mujica, 21, had spent the first half of the season on loan at Spanish second-tier side Extremadura but after failing to score in eight appearances, they confirmed on Wednesday that his loan deal had been terminated early via their official website.

Marca has reported that Mujica already has another club lined up with Villarreal B ready to take him on.

And now, the young striker has shown via his personal Instagram account that his move to the La Liga club is as good as done after posing for a picture in Villarreal’s famous yellow kit.

It remains to be seen how Mujica performs at Villarreal but he has effectively taken a step backwards in his development.

Although he played just eight times for Extremadura, they were still eight appearances where he played first-team football for a second-tier club.

Now, he is set to play for Villarreal B, which is basically the same as playing for an Under-23s team in England.

Why can he not just do that for Leeds instead?

It seems as though the former Barcelona prospect may want to remain in Spain and his future at Leeds does not seem at all bright based on him not even being handed a chance to prove himself by returning to Thorp Arch from Extremadura.

In other Leeds United news, Leeds are ready to bid for this £12million-rated striker who has 19 international caps for a British nation.
