Real Madrid tempted as Leeds United eye Endrick deal in ‘ideal’ transfer
Leeds United could make an ambitious move for Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick.
The Peacocks have been on the lookout for a new centre-forward, with Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen one of the main targets this winter window.
However, Strand Larsen looks set to join Crystal Palace, with the Eagles pricing the Elland Road outfit out of the move.
This window, it appears as if there will be no alternative to the forward, but that does not mean work will not be underway for some potential summer signings.
And Endrick could be on the 49ers’ radar.
Leeds watching Endrick in ambitious transfer move
Endrick is one of the biggest wonderkids in world football, and any club would be lucky to have him as part of their squad.
However, this season, the young Brazilian has struggled to make an impact as part of Real Madrid’s roster and was sent on loan to Olympique Lyon last month for the remainder of the season.
When that loan ends, Leeds could then be in the mix to snap up the highly rated 19-year-old, according to reports.
As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, Leeds United and Sunderland are closely monitoring the Brazilian striker’s progress at Lyon.
Additionally, the LS11 club view the Real Madrid star as “an ideal player to develop and increase his value within an ambitious project.”
Furthermore, there is an expectation that the qualities of Endrick would mean he would make an “instant impact” while still having room to grow as a player.
As for Real Madrid, it is suggested they could be tempted into a sale, but there are other teams also interested.
What has Endrick said about leaving Real Madrid permanently?
Endrick has not shut down the option of leaving Los Blancos on a permanent move in the summer, but Daniel Farke’s side may struggle to tempt him to come to Elland Road.
The Brazilian forward is seemingly having a good spell in France, and when asked if he could stay at Lyon beyond this season, he responded, telling L’Equipe: “Only God knows what will happen, whether he’ll tell me to stay here or not. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.”
The loan move has been going extremely well, and if his form continues, he could be tempted to push to stay. Most recently, Endrick netted a hat-trick for the Ligue 1 club.

However, his comments do open the door for a potential move out of the Spanish capital.
If Leeds do get relegated, that would effectively end any of their ambitious moves for the Real Madrid star.
It is unlikely he would swap top-flight football for England’s second tier.
However, if the 49ers can somehow pull off a deal for the young talent, it would certainly be a massive statement of intent for next season’s Premier League.
