Nico Elvedi made his first Premier League start for Leeds United in their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday.
He was signed from Borussia Monchengladbach in an £8.5million deal to provide Daniel Farke's side with additional cover at centre-back.
The Switzerland star has already been thrust into the action after Joe Rodon's injury woes.
He replaced the Welshman in the starting line-up, as he is set to be sidelined for between eight and 10 weeks.
Elvedi has proved to be a hit so far in LS11, with the fee paid to the Bundesliga side looking like a bargain.

How long is Nico Elvedi's contract with Leeds?
Elvedi signed a three year deal when he linked up with his former manager Farke in Yorkshire.
That deal is set to run until the summer of 2029, meaning there is plenty of time to decide on an extension.
The 73-cap international will be 31 years old when that deal expires, so he may well still be a viable option at the back.
That remains to be seen, but if it is the case, then the Whites will surely offer him fresh terms.
How did Elvedi perform in Leeds' draw with Brighton?
Elvedi was thrust into the starting line-up at the AMEX Stadium, and he played well.
The defender completed 86 per cent of his passes, and created two chances for his teammates, according to data from Fotmob.
Defensively, he made 10 contributions in the contest, with seven clearances, two blocks, and one interception.
In terms of duels, the Swiss ace won none of the three he attempted on the ground, but four of eight in the air, for a 50 per cent success rate.
That is a solid performance to start off his career in the English top-flight, and he will hope to kick on from there.

He did not speak about his league debut afterwards, but he did talk about him in a press-conference in August.
Speaking to the media, he said: "I don't have too much to say - his CV speaks for himself.
"He has played 11 years for one club, which shows his loyalty. He played a quarter-final in the World Cup and looked rock solid.
"Nico comes ready for this challenge and with excitement. He's very flexible in the position he plays. He can play at right and left centre-back."
Given that versatility and loyalty mentioned by Farke, it would not be a surprise if Elvedi was to extend his terms when the current deal expires.
