‘More wasted money by Victor’ – Some Leeds fans rage over ‘Embarrassing’ transfer report
Leeds United fans have not held back in hitting out at the club and director of football Victor Orta after seeing the latest transfer news coming out of Thorp Arch.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported on their website that two of the players that Orta signed for the Under-23s in the summer are already set to leave the club.
It is understood that midfielder Guille Amor and striker Rafa Mujica are set to “cut their ties” with Leeds, which suggests that they are both heading towards permanent exits despite only arriving from Barcelona several months ago.
Since Orta became director of football at Leeds, we have seen a lot of players coming and going without them making any sort of impact in Yorkshire.
Many have already been forgotten and it is likely that in a few months’ time, only a few Leeds fans will remember Amor and Mujica.
Amor is reportedly wanted by Getafe while Mujica seems set to join Villarreal after posting an image of himself in the La Liga club’s famous yellow shirt on Instagram.
Neither will be missed and they are yet two more marks against Orta.
However, you cannot blame Orta for trying to unearth gems from across Europe that could, someday, make it big at Elland Road.
One day, there could be someone who joins Leeds’ Under-23s and repays all the money spend on these flops, plus more.
Some Leeds fans do not see that though, they just see two more failures.
