Lucas Perri is ready to leave Leeds United in desperate trouble after transfer reveal
Lucas Perri is currently number one at Leeds United again.
Despite only being signed last summer from Lyon, the Brazilian ended the season behind Karl Darlow at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke had seen enough after several mistakes from Perri, although he did prove himself again in the FA Cup.
Perri was crucial as Leeds made it to the semi-finals at Wembley, with two penalty shootout victories and crucial saves along the way.
With Illan Meslier leaving as a free agent to join Arsenal, Darlow is expected to do the same.
Instead, Darlow will join Manchester United, but that hasn't stopped Perri from thinking about his future elsewhere.
What is latest on Lucas Perri's exit?
MOT Leeds News have previously reported on Torino's interest in signing Perri this summer.
That hasn't gone away, despite the former Lyon man and Alex Cairns being the only senior options in LS11, for now.
Cuore Toro has now reported that Perri is "very keen" to leave West Yorkshire for Turin during this window.
Despite that, the Italian outlet states that things are getting very complicated, with Torino aggressive in their approach.
Leeds are said to prefer an obligation or straight permanent deal, while the Serie A side are currently looking at a loan with an option to buy.
With that, negotiations have now stalled "abruptly".
Why Lucas Perri exit simply can't happen
Leeds may be looking at new goalkeepers, but agreeing to any move now for Perri would be stupid.
Cairns is third-choice, everybody knows that.
Should Perri leave, he would be immediately number one and that can't be allowed to happen, no offence to Cairns.
Perri returned for pre-season testing on Monday and looked happy, with Farke knowing that he can use the Brazilian if needed.
Leeds need a new goalkeeper already, but keeping Perri at least gives them an option for the new Premier League season if needed.
Zion Suzuki of Parma and James Trafford are two options, but those are moves that may not happen for weeks.
For now, no matter how keen Perri may be on a move to Italy, where he holds duel citizenship, Leeds have to put themselves first.
