Leeds United transfer for Jonathan Rowe not easy as new update emerges
Norwich City attacker Jonathan Rowe is still a potential option for Leeds United but is not a “super easy” deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported via GiveMeSport [14 August] that, having submitted a £7million bid for the 21-year-old [The Sun], there is still a chance for the Whites to return to the transfer table.
While admitting that the deal will not be easy for Leeds to secure, Romano says that it is a transfer and that he would keep the doors open until the end of the summer window.
He said: “Leeds are still considering this possibility.
“To be honest, it’s not an easy one, but potentially yes. To answer your question, there is still a chance to try again in this moment.
“Again, it is not considered super easy, but I would keep the doors open for this one until the end of the window.”
Leeds United remain in contention to sign Jonathan Rowe?
The transfer race for the young Canaries talent looks to be heating up, with Marseille also interested in acquiring his signature this summer.
Daniel Farke’s side will need to raise their initial offer, however, with Norwich slapping a £15million price tag on his head to ward off the Whites [Daily Mirror].
While everyone at Elland Road knew that Crysencio Summerville’s exit was inevitable this summer, it has still come as a huge blow to Farke’s squad, and Rowe could go someway to fixing that.
Although only towards the start of his career, he notched 12 goals and two assists in 32 appearances while also missing a number of matches through injury last season.
From the outside, it seems like the young star is edging closer to a Carrow Road exit, having been demoted to the Under-21s squad for training after missing Norwich’s opening match of the Championship campaign against Oxford [Pink Un].

However, with only a couple of weeks until the transfer window shuts, Leeds will need to hurry if they are to strike a deal with their Championship rivals this summer.
Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James are more than capable of deputising on the flanks, but other than the duo, Farke seems to be lacking depth in the attacking third of the pitch.
