Wilfried Gnonto is being eyed for a Leeds United exit this summer.

The 22-year-old has barely featured in Daniel Farke's plans, with seven starts in the last two seasons.

He has not made either matchday squad so far in the new campaign, although that is due to a hamstring issue.

Speculation has persisted about his Elland Road future with his limited involvement, and a deadline-busting move could be on the cards.

Fiorentina have made an enquiry for the Italian winger, and the Whites response has now been revealed.

How do Leeds feel about Wilfried Gnonto exit?

Gnonto's future may be one of the most interesting situations as the transfer window comes to a close.

Leeds would require another attacker to come through the doors to allow the winger to leave, according to The Athletic's Beren Cross.

He stated that the Whites are waiting to see if the Italian side take their approach any further.

It is understood that sources close to the club have indicated that there is a "small chance" that he could depart.

Leeds have been in the market for attacking signings, so Gnonto's potential exit may accelerate shortly.

What attackers could Leeds sign?

The most prominent name to be linked with the Whites is Mykhailo Mudryk, the out of favour Chelsea winger.

He has just returned from a doping suspension, and is not in Xabi Alonso's plans.

Talks between the sides have stalled for now, but surely could be revived if the Peacocks need to bring someone in.

Igor Paixao is another potential target, as he is expected to leave Marseille this summer.

If Farke's side are going to bring him in, they need to get a move on, though, as Sunderland have already made their move for the Brazilian.

It is clear that Farke does not rate Gnonto, so if they can secure an upgrade on him and bring in some money for the Italian, it makes perfect sense.
