Leeds now in 'surprise' negotiations over last-ditch Wilfried Gnonto sale
Wilfried Gnonto looks increasingly likely to leave Leeds United before the transfer window closes.
The 22-year-old hasn't made either of Daniel Farke's matchday squads so far this season due to a hamstring issue.
It's been a major setback for Gnonto, who had impressed against Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in Dublin earlier this month.
However, that display against Michael Carrick's men could have been Gnonto's last in a Leeds shirt, with Fiorentina now reportedly in talks to sign the Italy international.
Gnonto is just shy of 150 appearances for Leeds, but he now could be making a return to Italy, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Where Fiorentina are at in their bid to sign Wilfried Gnonto
Writing on his personal website on Saturday morning, Sky Sports Italy journalist Di Marzio reported that Fiorentina are in talks with Leeds over a deal for the former Inter Milan attacker.
Di Marzio calls it a "surprise" move by the Florence club, who have also approached Gnonto directly over a deal.
Gnonto made 29 appearances in all competitions for Leeds last season. However, he scored just one goal, which came in an FA Cup win over Derby County back in January.
He could now be finished at Elland Road, but it remains to be seen what kind of terms are being discussed between Leeds and Fiorentina.
How much Leeds could get for selling Gnonto
Gnonto joined Leeds from FC Zurich in a deal worth £3.8million in September 2022.
If they sell him now, they will almost definitely make a solid profit on that, with Gnonto now having 13 Italy caps to his name, as well as 47 Premier League appearances.
According to transfermarkt, the versatile Italian forward is currently valued at around £13.6m.
Some Leeds fans might be disappointed if that's all they get for Gnonto but, ultimately, this is a player who's never really solidified a first-team spot at Elland Road and has had plenty of injury issues.
