Leeds United know what's needed to sign AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah.

The Whites have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old this transfer window.

As things stand, the West Yorkshire outfit aren't the only ones in the race for the 47-cap USA international.

Musah could join Daniel Farke at Elland Road ahead of next season, with conditions over what's needed to win the race becoming clearer.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Atalanta after struggling for regular minutes at San Siro, but his experience with La Dea wasn't any different.

It looks like the American ace could be on his way out if the Rossoneri soon and the Peacocks might be his next destination.

How much Leeds United could have to pay for Yunus Musah

Milan signed Musah for around £17million from Valencia in 2023, with two years remaining on his current contract.

Lazio are one of the teams looking to get a deal over the line for the midfielder and have offered around £1.7m to take him on loan with a buy option of £15.2m

But, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport on 20 July, Leeds are one of the teams to "watch out" for.

Ipswich Town have also been linked with the American midfielder, but no offer has arrived from England so far.

If the West Yorkshire outfit are looking to win the race for Musah, they will likely have to table a better deal than Lazio for him.

MOT Leeds News have covered claims of Ruben Amorim having a final say on Musah's future, with the midfielder being watched by the ex-Manchester United head coach

At the moment, Farke has plenty of options in the engine room, with Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka and Anton Stach featuring heavily towards the end of last season.

The German manager also has Ilia Gruev and Sean Longstaff at his disposal for the central midfield area.

For now, the West Yorkshire outfit's recruitment priorities should lie elsewhere, unless Farke loses someone from the middle of the park.

Defensive and attacking additions must take centre stage in LS11 over the coming weeks, but only time will tell how the Whites' squad will shape up for next season.
