Leeds United will get the go-ahead to sign Niko Sigur after Hajduk Split's Europa Conference League qualifier on Thursday night.

The Croatian giants play away at Polish side Rakow Czestochowa in the second leg of their play-off qualifer.

The first leg finished 2-2, meaning there's everything to play for in Poland on Thursday night, with Sigur expected to be involved

Leeds are reportedly keen on signing Sigur to add to Daniel Farke's squad this summer, with the Canada international capable of playing at both right-back and in the defensive midfield area.

However, there's a big race for the 22-year-old's signature after he impressed at the World Cup for Jesse March's Canada.

And bids are now starting to fly in for the ex-Croatia Under-21 international.

What's the latest in Leeds bid to sign Niko Sigur?

Croatian news outlet 24Sata reported on Wednesday that Hajduk Split won't consider any offers for Sigur until after they've found out whether or not they'll make the league phase of the Conference League.

It makes sense, especially as the Canadian is such a key player for the Croatian side.

It is understood that offers have, however, already been made by Belgian side Genk and French outfit Toulouse.

Genk are said to have bid £3.4million, but while Toulouse have offered £2.5m, they have reportedly tabled better personal terms to the full-back/midfielder.

How much it'll take for Leeds to beat rivals in trasfer race

If Leeds want to barge in and win this transfer race with ease, it won't cost them much - in comparison to some of the Premier League spending we've seen this summer.

Spanish news outlet El Gol Digital reported on Monday that not only Leeds, but also Valencia, Coventry and Celtic are also keen on the Hajduk star.

They also claimed that the Croatian club would accept £4.2m for him, which is a fair bit more than what Genk and Toulouse have offered.

It's a lot more than what Celtic have bid, anyway, with the Scottish club reportedly seeng a £2.9m effort fail.

Leeds should keep tabs on developments in Poland on Thursday, regardless.

If Split lose, they won't have any European football this season and they might be able to get Sigur on the cheap if Farke really wants him.
