Leeds United continue to be linked with a move for Igor Paixao this summer.

The Brazilian was on the Whites' radar 12 months ago after Leeds had returned to the Premier League.

However, despite a long-running pursuit, Paixao opted to make the move to Marseille from Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord.

Fast forward to the present day, and Marseille are in the need of making player sales, leading to renewed speculation Leeds could move for the 26-year-old Brazilian.

Daniel Farke is certainly keen to add more attacking options to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

And footage from last night will make Leeds fans really want the 49ers Enterprises to find the cash to sign Paixao.

What did Igor Paixao do for Marseille last night?

Leeds may still have Paixao on their radar, but Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are thought to be reluctant to sell during this

It has been reported that Marseille want around £43million if they were to entertain bids for Paixao, making it difficult for Leeds to do business.

Paixao has been in excellent form during pre-season, scoring four times in warm-up matches for Marseille.

One of those came in a 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Friday, and it really was some finish from Paixao.

The ball was played from right, and he sumptuously lifted his effort over Jan Oblak with the deftest of touches.

It really was a sign of the quality Paixao possesses, and it might just make the hierarchy think again in trying to do business with Marseille.

What else do Leeds United need in the transfer window?

It is absolutely no secret that Farke wants more attackers before the transfer window closes to improve his front line.

A new striker to complement Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be ideal, but versatile forwards and attacking midfielders are also being considered.

James Trafford has arrived as first-choice goalkeeper from Manchester City, but Farke still needs more cover for the England stopper before the window slams shut.

The long and short of it is, Leeds have done very good business in the window but more reinforcements would certainly be welcome as the Whites look to build on last season's 14th-place finish.
