Leeds now make approach to sign Kelleher with one Liverpool deal already done
Leeds have taken a step closer to signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.
Daniel Farke‘s side are in the market for an Illan Meslier replacement and the Irishman fits the bill after his exploits for the Reds this season.
The Whites are keen to add Premier League quality to their squad and the 26-year-old has proven his talent as Alisson’s understudy at Anfield.

Leeds make Kelleher move as Liverpool exit chances increase
The Elland Road outfit wants to sign the Merseyside ace who has expressed a desire for regular first-team football next season.
A report from the Irish Times (28 May) claims that Leeds have made an inquiry about Kelleher’s services but face competition from Brentford and West Ham.
It states that the Ireland star wants to leave the Reds due to the impending arrival of Valencia stopper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Chris Sutton heaped praise on the 22-cap international in March 2024 on BBC 5 Live’s Monday Night Club after an impressive performance against Manchester City, he said: “He’s been phenomenal for one so young, he’s not the only player doing well but blimey, the composure he has.”

Kelleher addition would be pivotal to Leeds
It is absolutely vital that the 49ers back Farke and bring Kelleher to Yorkshire this summer, as a deal would only cost around the £20million mark.
That is a bargain price for a keeper with proven quality in the top-flight, who has stepped up so many times for the champions.
He featured 10 times in the division this season, an admirable back-up for Alisson when called upon, keeping four clean sheets.
He has also had notable performances in the 2022 and 2024 Carabao Cup finals and the 2022 FA Cup final, all against Chelsea, when he was crucial in the Reds lifting those trophies.
He even scored the winning penalty in one of those Wembley showcases after Kepa Arrizabalaga had skied his spot kick, showing his composure at both ends.
His distribution is another asset, as he completed 72.1 per cent of his passes in the league this season, which could be vital for Farke’s side.
The deal is a very achievable one, if they can hold off the other interested parties, and they should do everything that they can to bring him in as he has proven that he is a match-winner.
