Leeds United annouced the signing of Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo on Friday

The 23-year-old centre-back arrives at Elland Road in a £34million deal, making him the second most expensive signing in Leeds' history after Georginio Rutter (£35.5m).

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international, who starred for his nation at the World Cup this summer, has agreed a five-year deal with the Whites, becoming their second signing since the end of last season after Harry Wilson's arrival on a free transer earlier this month.

Muharemovic arrives as a replacement for Pascal Struijk, but Daniel Farke isn't stopping their with his recruitment.

It's widely reported that Leeds also want to strengthen their attacking options, as well as signing a new goalkeeper after Karl Darlow left for Manchester United.

And it seems that efforts are being made behind the scenes to strengthen Leeds' attack.

Leeds now in discussions to sign Julian Brandt next

Sky Sports reported on Friday evening that Leeds' are eyeing up a move to make Julian Brandt their third summer signing.

Brandt, 30, is a free agent after his contract at Borussia Dortmund expired and MOT Leeds News has relayed claims that his father has recently visited Leeds' Thorp Arch training ground to discuss a potential deal.

However, despite that, it is understood that it will still be difficult for Leeds to pull off a deal for the 48-times Germany international, with Roma and Juventus also interested.

Leeds may have an ace up their sleeve, though, in order to beat their Italian rivals to a deal.

What are Leeds chances of signing Brandt?

Despite Roma and Juventus being such big-name clubs in Serie A, Leeds might actually be the favourites to sign Brandt at this stage.

That's because Sky in Italy report that the attacking midfielder's most likely next destination is the Premier League.

Now, that doesn't mean it's a given that Leeds sign the German attacker, because Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle have also been linked with him, as per the Yorkshire Post.

But at Elland Road, Brandt is more likely to be a starter, meaning the can spend the final years of his career playing for a massive club in the Premier League - and playing regularly.

Can he guarantee that at any of the other clubs mentioned? It's impossible to say for sure, but there's definitely more chance of it happening at Leeds.
