How much Ayase Ueda would cost Leeds United as Feyenoord price tag revealed

Leeds United now know what it would take to sign Ayase Ueda from Feyenoord.

Daniel Farke may still be looking to add a striker to his Leeds squad this summer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues to lead the Whites line, but Lukas Nmecha is his only proven deputy.

Ueda's name has been spoken of in Leeds transfer circles for some time now, with interest dating back to last year.

The 27-year-old has been with Feyenoord since 2023, and has scored 40 goals in 109 competitive appearances.

As a result, he may now feel the time is right to try his hand at Premier League level, and Elland Road could be calling.

Who else is rivalling Leeds for Ayase Ueda's signature?

Fresh off the back of a 26-goal season in all competitions last term, Ueda's stock has perhaps never been higher.

The 43-cap Japanese international finished 2025-26 as the Eredivisie's top scorer, with 25 goals in 31 appearances.

Still in his prime, Leeds have again been touted with signing him as someone who could push Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds Live have claimed that Feyenoord value Ueda at around £15million, which could be a snip given his goalscoring record.

However, Ipswich Town and Brighton are also explicitly named as monitoring his situation too.

Feyenoord are understood to be willing to listen to offers for Ueda, but what is his contract situation in the Netherlands?

Why Feyenoord may be wise to sell Ueda this summer

As aforementioned, Ueda joined Feyenoord in 2023 from Belgian side Cercle Brugge.

He'd scored 23 goals in 42 games in Belgium, and thus Feyenoord were confident he'd be a success in Dutch football too.

That was evidenced by the fact they handed him a five-year contract, taking his deal through to the summer of 2028.

But should they decide to keep Ueda beyond this summer, Feyenoord would risk seeing his value fall significantly come this time next year.

Should he get injured or suffer a drop in form, they may struggle to get close to £15m with just 12 months left on his deal.

Leeds shouldn't have any issue finding the £15m they'd need to sign him right now, and so this looks like a deal that would suit all parties.

Pairing Ueda with Calvert-Lewin would give Leeds a strong one-two punch up top, whilst easing pressure on Nmecha as the lone backup.
